Workouts, Fat Loss, and Achieving Your Desired Weight
By James Papp
Want that thin waist NOW? In need of losing those love handles til next week? Please, give me a break! Have some respect for your body!
A good thing to have in mind when aiming to lose weight is that there is no one secret to this. There is no one thing you can buy that will do all the work for you.
The first thing to take to notice is that you don't want to hurry things. We're talking about your body here. You're going to live with it for the rest of your life so you might want to take care of it. Too much change too fast creates a stress on your body and can leave you feeling miserable. Realize that if you are overweight today, it is a result of many wrong decisions in the past. If they were made consciously or not is unimportant. You simply did the wrong things and now you want to correct them. If you have been overweight for ten years, then losing all excess weight permanently in a month is not particularly healthy and highly unlikely to succeed.
By attacking weight loss from several fronts you allow yourself to create an environment that works in your favor. In the long run! By sticking to workouts, fat loss diets, and having a healthy attitude toward your body you can achieve your desired outcome.
Find others that are in the same position as you and need to lose weight. Make statements toward to each other. Do these often! Encourage each other. Do not find excuses and realize when they are giving you one!
Activate yourself. If working out in the gym is not your thing, then you need to get out of the house! You need to walk, fast! You need to break a sweat and you need to be out for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week. Don't just put on your sweatshirt and start walking randomly. Plan your route, put on earphones and your favourite music that gets you pumped, and do this the same hour of the day every day. Make it a routine so it becomes a habit! It is so simple and common that it often gets overlooked. In terms of workout, it is the very best thing you can do to lose weight. Don't look for machines and pills that will do the job for you. (If you're still looking for that easy fix that will take care of your weight problem for you, then you are not ready to lose weight!)
Fat loss diets are plentiful out there. They tell you to count calories, to stay away from foods rich in fat, or to practically starve yourself. Instead, realize why you´ve gained weight in the first place. You were eating the wrong foods and your metabolism is out of place!
Perhaps by eating the right things, you can correct that?
Vary the content on your plate, don't eat the same things over and over. Stay away from dairy products but drink a lot of water to help rid your body of waste products. Eat beans, vegetables, fruits, and whole wheat, or other foods rich in fibres. Eat chicken, turkey, tuna fish, or salmon, and never eat carbohydrate rich meals back to back. Eat often but smaller portions.
Do note that people who easily gain an excess of body fat, have a genetic setup that allows for this. Since you're here, I guess you are one of them. Eating the right things and getting out of the house for power walks are extremely important for people with this body type.
Remember, stick to your workouts, fat loss diets, and commitments! Set your goals, don't worry about results, and focus on the process!
To your success!
